Hi Mickey and Joan
Just wanted to say hi and to thank you both for being such welcoming hosts.
Despite the weather we had a lovely time - Our breakfasts aren't the same back home, we couldn't ever recreate your wonderful pastries Joan and even if we did, it wouldn't be the same without the lovely setting on the ocean!
We also really enjoyed having the use of the bikes enabling us to get out and see some of the island.
We hope to come back to see you again soon.
Take care and keep well.
Very best wishes
Frank and Sue

Portia and Prudence were so sweet and we just adored you both.
Again-the best vacation spot we ever have been to! Hope to keep in contact....

Hi Joan and Mickey,
Chris and I had such a fabulous time at Seascape and we want to thank you for your hospitality. You have a very special place and we have so enjoyed looking at the pictures and telling our children about our wonderful time at such a magical place in our world.
All the best,

P.S. I have started cutting up fruit for my family each morning. They love it! Thank you Joan!

Hi Mickey and Joan,
Thank you so much for providing a great place to stay!
Our flight out was not too bad and we easily made our connections. We arrived back to hail storms....Oh joy! I have cooked dinner tonight, back to reality.
We had a wonderful break and will certainly return, save some big fish and chocolate ganache cake for us.
Don’t work too hard, and love to the dogs

Hi Micky and Joan,
We were able to snag earlier flights back to California! Made it home and are back in the swing of things here. We had a great time. You both do work your asses off and really have a great place down there! We especially enjoyed the great meals provided and are now busily working them off! I so needed to sleep and relax and we got just what we were looking for. Happy to experience some climate change induced non-seasonal weather and check out the blue holes.
Please pass on our regards to your canine crew – Magoo, Dot, Bernie and Bebe!
Thanks to you both we got a good introduction to the Bahamas and will return at some point when we can get it together, the stars align and we aren’t off bicycling in the rain!
Best to you both and if you ever get a bug to visit N. California, do let us know.
Amanda and Ken

Hey! How are you Mickey and Joan, my Second Most Favorite Redhead? We had the adventure continue on the way home. We missed the connecting flight and they put us up overnight and sent us to....Minneapolis (!) to catch a plane to Tucson. Crazy! Three of the eight sand dollars made it home in one piece. Next time we will pack 'em better. Thank you for taking such good care of us! We will be back as soon as we can! Pat the beasts for us! Ken

Thanks Joan & Mickey. It was a great few days on the beach and a much needed break for me. I've already wished I was back in the hammock a few times :)
Best wishes and I hope to see you again!
- Ray
Good afternoon, Joan-
It was super to meet you both and we still chuckle over some of your funny stories. It was a truly great vacation- Tom has a photo of your beach with the boat and palm tree for his screen saver on his computer- he says it is not too helpful with his work productivity!
We are looking forward to our next visit to your piece of paradise!
Best to you and Mickey! (and to our canine pals too!)

Mickey and Joan,
Joel and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Seascape Inn. We've already talked to our fly-fishing friend and his wife up here and are hoping that the 4 of us will make a trip to Mangrove Cay next spring!
Our dogs were thrilled to see us, but they wanted to know why our clothes smelled like beach dogs! I hope these pictures show up well for you. Thanks for letting me love on your dogs!
Later!

Hello Joan and Mickey:
Lorne and I arrived home safe and sound. We had a great trip back.
I actually laid in bed for an hour this morning remembering the sounds of the ocean and the beautiful views of the beach and water.
I found a special place in our house for all the treasures I purchased while in the Bahamas.
Lorne and I really enjoyed our stay with you.
I hope all is going well.
Regards,
Cathy

Dear Joan and Mickey,
A big thank you from all of us for making our stay in Mangrove Cay so special.
The holiday was all we expected (sun, sand and sea) and more, thanks to your warm welcome, delicious food – not to mention mango and banana daiquiris, the introductions to your fellow islanders and directions to the blue holes. It’s our fault that we failed to find two of them and it’s the perfect excuse for us to come back!
Thank you too for the cakes which sustained us during the wait at Nassau airport and even when we arrived home to an empty kitchen and steady drizzle. It seems very grey in England, but we are doing our best to stay relaxed and are enjoying our photos.
Thank you again for everything.
With best wishes,
Mary Anne, Chris, Emily and Jack

Hi Mickey and Joan!
We just wanted to say thanks again for making our stay so enjoyable! We had a wonderful Christmas with you. You really made us feel at home. We look forward to staying at your place again in the future. I attached some pictures of the dogs, who also helped make us feel right at home! We are wishing we were still down there, as we have had several large storms since we returned, and have 8 inches of snow on the ground right now!
Thanks again! Jess and Tom

Dearest Joan & Mickey,
We miss you and the babies!!! : (
Shawn & I were so honored and happy to have been able to meet the two ... or should I say six ... of you. We had such a fabulous time and we're seriously about to secure our return trip, or better yet, a beginning to our own yearly tradition of a Seascape retreat after Turkey Day.
We think of you often and hope that all is well
So many wonderful memories...
You've secured a special place in our hearts and minds.
Kisses & hugs to you and the pups.
Love Always,
Sonya & Shawn

Thanks…………….for a really nice visit to your Inn. Hospitality, good food, nice accommodations what more could one ask for. Even the fish finally cooperated
A couple of my friends have "taken notes" and like what they heard, so maybe some others from Houston will be visiting.
Take care, Frank

Hi Mickey and Joan-- Has it really been a week since we arrived back home? All last week I was wishing I was lolling in the sun at Seascape Inn as it was a long and tiring one. We just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful hospitality, food (especially the desserts!), and good stories during our stay. It was truly relaxing and what we needed. We came back to some OK Spring weather though it rained a lot last week. By Wednesday, it is suppose to be close to 80 (for a day or two) so everyone is excited for that prospect. Hope the weather and your guests have been good to you this week. We do hope to get back to Andros at some point in time and share it with family members--it would great fun. Take care.................. Jean and Jeff

Hi Mickey and Joan,
I thought of you guys when I saw this. More precisely, I thought of your dogs--because at some point during Colin's and my wonderful visit, I formed the impression that more was going on in their furry heads than they were letting on.
Thanks for a great time,
Kit

Hi Mickey & Joan!
I still can't believe that less than a week ago we were waking up to beautiful sunrises, cerulean blue water, palm trees, and amazing breakfasts thanks to you both! I just wanted to write and say thank you for helping to make our trip the amazing experience that it was! We loved the island, we loved your spot, we loved your food, and we loved spending time with you! The bikes and kayaks enabled us to have adventures galore. Although that wouldn't have been possible without your great directions to blue holes and Calvin's and everywhere else! Thank you for answering our millions of questions, and for being so accommodating talking to Calvin about taking us out and even cooking and storing our catch! You truly go above and beyond. We also appreciate your many calls on our behalf in terms of the airline switch! We made it successfully back here without too much drama (just one bag got separated from us... always better on the way back than the way there! Especially since I'll have no need for bathing suits and flip flops for a while now!). Mickey, we know you still have shorts on and we are most jealous!
Andrew wanted me to ask you if there's any way to get Calvin's address? We know it would take a while to send him a note, but we'd still like to send him a thank you even if it takes a while! Let me know if you're able to get that information.
Thanks again for everything! Hope 2010 continues to be a great year for you! Take care, Becca and Andrew

Dear Mickey and Joan,
We are home again, longing back !!! It was quite a shock to come home to snow, coldness and wind. It took us 4,5 hours to reach home from the airport due to the bad weather (usually it takes about 1,5 hour). Yes, we enjoyed very much the days we spent at your place, the bar, the good food, the friendly atmosphere.
We hope everything is OK with you and wish you a very Merry Good Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Probably we come back some day if we live long enough as we think you are just the ideal pair to run a hotel business like you do.
I promised Elisabeth to send some pictures and I enclose 2 with this email and I will send another email as well with pictures enclosed.
Love from Karin2 and Peter

Hi Joan and Mickey!
I am so sorry that we have taken so long to drop you a note letting you know what a wonderful time we had with you at the Seascape Inn. We were both so relaxed and just had a wonderful time getting to know both of you and enjoying the great space you have there on Andros.
Nassau was nice too, but both of us commented that we would have been just as happy if not more so spending a few more days there.
How are the pups?
It has been chaos since we returned, so I am glad to forward you the notice that our review has been posted on Tripadvisor. :)
We didn't want to go into too much detail on the food - except where I could not resist, but I wanted to let you know that our dinner that last evening was an extraordinary treat. Thank you!
I will be in touch after Thanksgiving - hopefully to tell you I am sending a Cacho dice game for you to enjoy.
Take care and looking forward to our next stay.
Johanna (Jermaine is included on this email too)

Dear Joan and Mickey,
We want to thank you both for making our Bahamas vacation so wonderful. I don't know where to begin but I think it starts with all the e-mails that passed between us before I even left home. Your advice and help with planning our trip, including where to eat while we were in Nassau, making our Western Air reservations for us, and arranging for Harry to meet us at the airport when we arrived all made us feel very well taken care of. Having filet mignon expertly prepared for dinner that night didn't hurt either!
The Seascape Inn is a unique resort. We felt so totally relaxed and free to enjoy the beauty of Mangrove Cay; the sun, the clear water, the fresh breezes, the home cooked meals and tropical drinks. I could feel myself "recharging" the whole time we were there; just soaking in the restorative energy.
Thank you for your attention to detail as innkeepers, but more, thank you for your kindness and warmth as two special people. We look forward to visiting you again!
Fondly,
Christina and Angelo

Hi Joan,
I really want to say a massive thanks to both you and Mickey for making our escape to the Seascape so special. We really did have an amazing time with you guys and came back feeling super-relaxed and refreshed. We've just spent the easter weekend with our various familes, telling them all about it, showing people pictures and generally reminiscing about how good it all was.
Anyway, we hope you guys are really well and that the wind has finally eased off. Alex sends her love. We're both looking forward to the day we can come and visit you guys again. In the meantime, here are the pictures as promised. Let me know if they're too big/too small and I'll send again. I've included the ones of me with the "biggie" along with a couple of other nice fishing ones taken in front of your place.
Rory
PS Have I been displaced from the blackboard yet?

Hi Mickey and Joan, I just wanted to write and thank you for making our vacation so great. That was just about the best birthday I can ever recall. We really had a ball, and Mangrove Cay was as beautiful as any place I've ever been. Thanks too, Joan for taking us snorkeling. What a treat that was!!!!! You were both so nice and we really enjoyed your company and conversation.
Traveling home seemed long, but oddly enough, one of the stewardesses on the flight out of Nassau recognized me, and that translated into free drinks for us. (That rarely happens!) Now it's back to cool weather (at least it's been sunny), phonecalls, emails, practicing etc. Hope we see you again. Keep well and keep in touch.
Anyway, I gotta go for now. Keep well, Al Lerman

Hi Mickey and JoanSitting here in Denmark anddreaming about the lovely Mangrove Cayand wishing to come back. Spring is just starting here and it’s still cold here. There are still no leaves on the trees, and most days it’s cloudy. We haven’t got round to thank you for a lovely stay, sothank you for the holiday of a lifetime. We often think about you and how the everything is out at your relaxing place.I have attached two pictures from your place, that I find mostbeautiful! The first is of the full moon we had, and the second is of a bird, we haven’t found out which one, but I love the picture! When we left you and stayed in Nassau, we must say that your recommendation of the MignonGuest House was right. The little lady called me Blondie and started with scolding at Morten, because she was concerned about our suitcases and her stairs. The place was clean, proper and quiet, so just what we wanted! We had a nice day in Nassau the next day– strolling around and went to the public library. It was a funny site, and maybe what you would expect– common magazines alongside books that looked as if they had been left behind from tourists. And there were too many tourists in Nassau! We wish you a happy Easter and hope everything is fine. Please send our regards toMark as well. Many, many greetings Morten & Anne

Hi Mickey and Joan,
We are back in New England, enjoying our early spring weather (no snow, thankfully).
We thoroughly enjoyed our four days at Seascape. It was just what we needed. Not being the kind of people who are attracted to the glitz of big hotels, fancy restaurants and such, your place was just perfect for us.
We also were delighted to have met Alex and Rory while there and found two new friends we hope to see again in the future.
You have a wonderful place and your warm hospitality is very special. We hope to come back again in the future. With any luck, next time it will be less windy and I will find out if I really can catch a bonefish!!
Best warm wishes,
Paul and Deb

Greetings from Canada Mickey & Joan! We arrived home to -11 degrees, and with the windchill it was -22 degrees, but at least the winter storm that hit the eastern coast of the U.S. never reached Toronto or area. We just wanted to say thank-you so much once again for a fantastic holiday getaway; we will definitely recommend your place to others. Your hospitality was wonderful and we still cannot get over how great the meals were. We wish you all the best for the future and send hugs and kisses to Magoo, Dot, Bernie and Bebe!Jo-Ann & Steve

Hi Mickey and Joan,We had a good trip home. We used the layover to visit Nassau. It was nice, but did not come close to our preferred destination, Seascape Inn, Mangrove Cay. Our WestJet flight to Ottawa was quick, on time, but only half full. I hope they continue to offer it. We've been sharing our photos and stories and hope to send some people your way. We'd like to return too, and perhaps have better luck with the weather. All the best,Glenn

We look forward to seeing you again. Cheers.

Dear Joan and Mickey-
Just wanted to let you know what a great time David and I had staying with y’all during our visit to Mangrove Cay. We returned back to Charleston refreshed and rejuvenated. It truly was culture shock to have to go home and eat cereal for breakfast and cook dinner. Y’all really did spoil us!
Hopefully we will see you again.
Take care!

Hi Joan and Mickey, Shorty and I had a great time at the Seascape! The food and company was wonderful. It was nice to meet you and relax on your Island. We got home just fine. We managed to avoid the storms. Shorty went directly to work when we got home, and I took a nap. Thanks a lot, Sandy
Joan,
Thanks for all the great hospitality. You and Mickey are the best!
Alvin
Mickey & Joan,
A belated thank you for a great week! Linda and I really enjoyed our week with you in May and I apologize for the delay in contacting you. I had an interesting week at the Bang Bang Club - great guides and the facilities were ok (a little worn and rustic but functional) but the weather gods were not kind to us. Too many clouds to see the fish and thunderstorms every afternoon that kept us from going as far as we would have liked. We caught fish, my casting improved immensely and we saw lots of great water with big fish!
All in all a great two weeks for me and I can't wait to come back. I'll be in touch when I can figure out my next trip, probably next spring. (I'd like to come back in the fall but that is a busy time around here and hard to get away.)
Allen
Hi Mickey and Joan,

Many Thanks!!!!!

Mickey, Just wanted to let you know we got back safely on Monday, and wanted to show you our temperature today. Nassau, 79°F. Lexington, MA 63°F.
It was raining instead of snowing when we arrived at the airport. Yesterday was 63°F, breaking the record of 62°F set in 1993. There's still been no snow that's lasted more than a day.
Thanks again for a great vacation, Paul
P.S. I hope Magoo's alright.
Mickey & Joan,
We deeply enjoyed our stay at Seascape Inn. Many thanks for everything. Hope you all have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2007 ahead.
Please let us know if you pass by New York. Would love to meet up again.
Dan
Thanks for a Great time! We had a ball, can't wait to come back. Temps are in the 30's and cold rain. Blah!
Biffie
Hi Joan, hi Mickey: Just wanted to let you know that we made it home safe. The high today is about 25 and we had an inch or so of snow overnight. Talk about a shock! We wanted both to thank you for a wonderful restful stay. Exactly what the doctor ordered! I will email you again soon with some pics for your collection!
Pauline and Dave
Dear Mickey and Joan,
Hi! How are you doing? How are Magoo, Dot, Bebe, and Bernie? We really appreciated the Christmas card you sent. It was great to hear from you! Today, as we came inside from our 10 degree Michigan weather, we sat by the cozy fireplace and remembered that last year at this time, we were at your place. We remembered snorkeling the beautiful blue holes. We remembered Mickey's wonderful shrimp and pasta dinner and Joan's delicious cinnamon rolls, and the beautiful ocean view from the table. We remembered all the long chats we had with you. We wished we were there again. It was our best vacation ever! Say "Hi" to Bob and Audrey and all the rest. We hope we can come back again soon!
